These are nice. I bought the one's with the cork handles. I made sure they worked before purchasing them. Which they did. When I arrived home and played with them. One of them would not Unlock and close. I thought about taking it back for a replacement but after about thirty minutes if trying to figure out what was wrong. I finally got it apart and seen that the small screw that holds the plastic expanding washers together had come out. So after about another thirty minutes of bending a coat hanger and attempting to pull the green lock washer out I finally got it(with a few bad words and some hard looks). I had never worked on a hiking pole before so I had to take the other one apart to see how it was put together. So after all that ordeal maybe an hour and a half total I have a hiking pole that seems to be sturdy and solid. Well see....
