The utility bowl set June 8, 2010 Michael S. Vaught (Augusta, GA USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Drink coffee? Eat oatmeal? Make soup? Enjoy So-Co and Lime? If you fit any of these categories and you like to do these things on the trail, in a dorm, packing across Europe, living as a hobo under the bridge or in just a general gotta be light and tight manner, this is for you.
Squishy bowls are small, light, packable, retain shape after being turned inside out of easy cleaning, compressed and generally abused. I use these backpacking or on military FTX. I highly recommend them.
These replace my other gear September 13, 2009 N8andM (Minneapolis, MN United States) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
They compress to fit anywhere, I use them to pad the inside of my MSR cookware, where I keep the fuel can. They handle heat (boiled water) well and stay cool to the touch. I have a red set & a orange set- the orange is more heavy duty. The red ones are more pliable and seem thinner. I would buy more if I needed to, but these are all we need. The size is perfect for a backpacker who packs on the light side. Highly recommended.
Very usable June 24, 2010 Sushi Fan 99 (Arlington, Va United States) I use this set as part of my daily lunch set for work. The set is durable and easy to clean. They are also lightweight and their flexibility make them a great low-drag solution for daily use and commuting. Drinking from the cup is a different experience, because of the squishy design. But you catch on quickly.
Because the bowl is freezer and microwave safe it is just so flexible.
Great stuff, a perfect solution to my requirements for a "green" brown-bag solution.
Really useful! September 22, 2008 Mary-T (Springfield, PA United States) 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
These squishy bowls are really handy for college. I use them for soup in the microwave without a problem. You will want a plastic bag to stick them in once they're dirty, though. Do NOT leave them dirty or forget to wash them as they can get moldy with the remnants of your food! Even if you do, they're easy to clean, can be disinfected, and have no trouble surviving in the dishwasher.
Size does matter! March 30, 2009 Ian Gibson (Atlanta, GA USA) 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
I will say that I love the color of this bowl/cup set, (I got Tangerine).
The inside is very smooth, while the outside has a brushed/grippier texture.
I was a little disappointed when unpacking and being confrotned with how small they really are. I know that the capacity is listed here, but it's kind of hard to visualize. The cup is 6 oz. That's about the size of a Yoplait yogurt container. The bowl is 16 oz. and is probably about an average cereal bowl size.
I was purchasing these for backpacking, but I don't think the cup would even be worth taking along (although I would definitely conserve food/water!)
I bet these would be great for staying at home with the kids!
