Are you somebody that loves to go on camping trips, or do you think about such occasions with a feeling of dread? Camping trips seem to cause differing reactions when they are mentioned. In this article we take a closer look at how you can make such trips more enjoyable.

There are a few complaints that seem to come up regularly when people discuss camping. These often centre around the thought of suffering due to the weather and a fear of poor quality bathroom facilities.

With a little bit of planning you can avoid these problems. Let’s take a closer look at how. Starting with the weather, which is often a major concern for those looking to go on camping trips in the UK.

There’s no doubt that few of us enjoy getting absolutely soaked in a storm. The key to avoiding this is to pack plenty of waterproof clothes and also to check that your tent hasn’t got any leaks. It’s best to do this before leaving home, since it’s certainly not great fun to be repairing a tent in the rain.

How about avoiding the worst toilet facilities? Ideally, it’s useful to find out about all of the facilities at a campsite before you even leave home, but that’s not always easy. One alternative is to take along your own toilets.

This used to mean making use of large, bulky chemical toilets. These didn’t offer the perfect solution – they took up far too much room in the car and many people didn’t like the thought of having to transport chemicals with them on holiday.

A new environmentally friendly solution was developed that made use of a lightweight aluminium frame. A major advantage was that you could fold it up, thus ensuring that it was much more portable than many alternatives.

Such improvements can take much of the pain out of a camping trip. Take advantage of them and you can soon be enjoying much more relaxing camping holidays.
